Understand and follow engineering plans and drawings.
Use hand power tools to cut and bend bars or mesh.
Tying rebar (reinforcement bars) together with wire, clips or welds to build up sections.
Fitting spacers and chairs (supports).
Fitting the woodenformwork and shuttering used to hold setting concrete in place.
Fixing steel to concrete bases.
Recent experience in heavy site installation activities .
Working in confined spaces.
Able to work, days, nights and weekends.
Minimum level of HSE test and other pre-requisite experience.
CSCS or CCNSG card.
HPC Site unionised civils agreement paid which is among one of the best in the country. See attached link:-
Full direct paye employment
Hours: Good levels of hours and overtime available plus long weekend every 2nd weekend.
Duration: 24 weeks followed by a rest period and then another estimated 44 weeks. 14-18 months in total.
Mid July 2017 for early works staggered through to October 2017 when major works will kick off for the initial 24 weeks as above, leading onto another 44 weeks as above.
Preferred but not essential:
Candidates who are baseline cleared and have been on an civil nuclear site (ideally EDF) in the last 12 months.
Candidates who are local to site would also be preferred although not essential due to large numbers required.
Upload CV, certs, CCNSG / CSCS card copies and any other relevant trade certs.
Please note: Candidates who are baseline cleared to work on EDF sites should clearly identify this on email and / or CV detailing the date and location of the last nuclear site they worked on as well as their security clearance number if they have it. This is not essential as we will be clearing personnel also.
