    Mactech require a PCN L2 Phased Array Operator who is able to manage a small team with customer facing and computer skills for a power station project in South Africa.

    Ideal applicants will have a Critical Sizing certificate or experience in power generation.

    Commencing in December this will probably be two 3 month trips, work is expected to run for 6 months +

    Accommodation, travel and meals provided.

  • QC Inspector (Painting and Coatings)

    Mactech require a QC Inspector for an onshore pipeline project in Bulgaria.

    You must have one of the following Qualifications:
    - UK Institute Of Corrosion - Painting Inspector Level 2
    - UK Institute Of Corrosion - Pipeline Coating Inspector
    - BGAS CSWIP (Argylle-Ruane, UK) - Painting Inspector Grade 2
    - NACE - Coating Inspector Level 2
    - FROSIO - Coating Inspector - Level 2

    - £300 per day (PAYE)
    - All accommodation, flights, and per diem provided

    - Monday 8th September

    - 6-9 month contract

    Working hours:
    - Rotational working basis (8+4 initially then 8+2)

  • Machinists required (Shetlands)

    Machinists required for on-going project on the Shetlands.

    Essential skills and experience required:
    - Knowledge of current machining techniques
    - Extensive experience in using a wide range of portable machines
    - Competent in the usage of relevant measuring equipment
    - Experience of working on a variety of materials and different sizes

    Duties and additional information:
    - Pipe cutting and end prepping; Pipe cutting, single, multi-angle and ‘J’ preps. End bevelling, counter boring and O/D turning
    - Flange facing Raised face, ring type joints, hub connectors, taperlok and ‘O’ Rings

    - £21 per hour
    - All accommodation, travel, and meals provided

    Start: Progressive over next month

    Duration: Ongoing

    Working hours:
    - 9.5 hours per day

  • Project Engineer

    Mactech require a Project Engineer for a client based in Hartlepool.
    Reporting to the Project Manager they will develop schedules within overall plan, prepare forecasts for specific engineering tasks. Liaise with sub-contract vendors. Assuring conformity at all times. Ensuring that forecasts are in accordance with project commitments and plans. Core commitment to co-ordinate and maintain quality control of all engineering works.     Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in construction and design.
    Minimum HNC required, Degree in Engineering preferred.
    This is now revised to being a contract role (rather than a staff position) paying up to £350 per day depending on qualifications and experience.

  • Mechanical Completions Engineer

    Mactech require a Mechanical Completions Co-ordinator for their client based in Hartlepool.

    Reporting to the Mechanical Completions Engineer, this role will be responsible for accurate and consistent management of mechanical completions data and delivery of system / sub-system handovers in line with project requirements (procedures and processes) and schedule. Suitable candidates will have a recognised trade apprenticeship, a minimum of 5 years engineering experience in the construction industry. They will also have good planning and organisational skills, an understanding of company quality, safety, health, environmental systems and programs and also have knowledge of mechanical completions systems and handover procedures.

    This contract is until May 2015.

    Rate: Up to £35 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications).
