  • Key Account Manager

    The Key Account Manager is the principal representative of our client on a project with accountability for Planning coordination, Client Interface and SHEQ performance.

    This specific role assumes responsibilities for all of our clients operations on an automotive manufacturer in the North West.

    Responsible for managing all aspects of allocated projects with a brief to ensure on time delivery within defined budgets, without compromise on safety or quality. Key elements of the role include, but not limited to, client and stakeholder management; Planning and SHEQ performance; project controls, change & risk management, whilst proactively seeking new opportunities for project growth. Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with internal policies & procedures and remain compliant with current legislation.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    - In accordance with certification to the standards ISO 9001; ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, comply with and contribute to the effective implementation of our clients current Health and Safety policy, Quality Policy & Environmental Policy
    - Promote Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality initiatives, i.e. ‘Safe By Choice’; “Think 2 Quality”, throughout all projects.
    - To work within established Company policies and procedures.
    - Promote company values and standards and exhibit appropriate behaviour in accordance with Company ethos.
    - Support the Business Development and Bids teams with appropriate technical support to ensure that the service capability of our client is adequately communicated to current and prospective clients and undertake estimating activities on allocated projects.
    - Work closely with the Contracts Manager to co-ordinate and allocate appropriate resource levels across projects to ensure efficient utilisation of the resource pool.
    - Close liaison with Contracts Manager to ensure compliance with and delivery of contractual obligations.
    - Where applicable, work with the Planning and Commercial teams to monitor project progress and recommending changes as required. Capture events impacting costs and programmes in order to timely update project status and forecasts. Ensure contract changes / compensation events are captured, ensuring that impact evaluation on costs and schedules is undertaken with the Commercial team. Implement adequate project controls to improve the efficiency and enhance the profitability of projects, including debt management.
    - Ensure timely programming and change notifications are communicated to support other internal departments, i.e. HR; Fleet; Procurement and Design.
    - Principal contact for correspondence and meetings with 3rd Parties; i.e. Sub-contractors; Local Authorities; Designers; Consultants; Utilities & Services, etc.
    - Produce Monthly Contract Review reports and comply with the business requirements for CVR completion, submission and reporting
    - Ensure timely, accurate and compliant cost allocations.
    - Contribute to the business requirements for budgeting and forecasting.
    - Produce Project Close-out Reports whilst liaising with all relevant departments to ensure that lessons learnt are captured and fed back appropriately, and where applicable to the Bids team for consideration on future bids.
    - Attend contract review / progress meetings on a regular basis and any other contract related meeting as may be required.
    - Implement LEAN principles across identified projects / work faces.
    - Provide leadership to the project teams and create goals and objectives where appropriate. Coach and mentor members of the project team and determine actions required for employee development.
    - Use talent and ability to encourage achievement and constant improvement.
    - To demonstrate safety, integrity & commitment at all times.
    - Maintain excellent levels of communication throughout the team and the wider business. To undertake any other duties as and when

  • QA Engineers / Inspectors ( Nuclear Sector & Process waste / Regulated environments)

    Candidates will be involved in cross checking the quality assurance and documentation with regards to construction and commissioning of nuclear waste process facilities or process facilities in regulated environments

  • Civil QC Construction Inspectors (Nuclear Sector)

    Civil QC Construction Inspectors required for work in the UK nuclear sector to include, new build, decommissioning, life extension.

    Candidates will have a strong background in all aspects of civil construction process this could include reinforcement, pre-concrete checks/pour (eg witness of slump tests and cube tests) , concrete, steel work etc.
    Candidates will be based onsite however this could involve off site suppliers for pre-cast concrete items. The variety of site locations will include nuclear stations, nuclear waste treatment facilities and supply chain.

  • Civil QC Inspectors (Concrete)

    Mactech require experienced Civil QC Inspectors (Concrete) to carry out civil construction inspection on nuclear sites within the UK.

    They will cover all aspects of the construction process activities where inspection duties are required, this could include reinforcement, pre concrete checks, concrete, steelwork etc. Generally this will be an on-site requirement but could involve off-site suppliers for pre-cast concrete items.

    Candidates must have a strong civil QC inspection background particularly with concrete experience and will ideally have nuclear experience however this is not essential.

    This will be for staggered starts throughout 2016 for a minimum of 12 months in duration.

  • PLC Engineer

    Our client has asked us to provide experienced PLC Engineer’s to install and commission PLC’s offshore in UK waters.

    They will be responsible for the installation, interface of PLC and commissioning and integration at offshore facilities (no programming is required).

    This will be on-going rotational trips commencing May 2016.

    Suitable applicants must have PLC experience, hold valid offshore certification and be able to work in the EU.

    - A proven track record in M&E contracting within the oil and gas arena.
    - Commercial and cost control management experience.
    - Extensive QS experience
    - EPC project experience

    The project duration is estimated to be 12 months.

  • Site Manager (Asbestos)

    Mactech require a Site Manager, with asbestos knowledge and experience, to assist Contract Managers on industrial projects around the North West of England.

    Job duties include a compilation of risk assessments, method statements and general management of the working progress.

    Candidates must have experience in the above.

    A site manager or project manager who has come from an Analytical background would be ideal.

    Applicants must hold valid asbestos certification.
