Corrosion
monitoring: The object of this
service is-
•
To monitor corrosion levels in pipe
work, pressure vessels or marine installations
using pulse echo ultrasonic techniques
to measure the remaining wall thickness
of the material. This enables planned
refurbishment to be made in good time
before materials reach critical limits.
Critical joint surveys: The
object of this service is-
•
To provide confirmation that the joint
being scanned is sound, within the
specification requirements, and no
earlier found flaw has since propagated
from the last inspection. This survey
is generally carried out using shear
wave ultrasonic techniques to obtain
a
Volumetric scan of the joint itself.
Root erosion can also be monitored
in the process.
